Campaign against the deterioration of Greece’s image. The objective is to react on this deterioration and tackle the negative image that is build by right wing press and media. This will be achieved by returning the argument that Greeks must change their culture by learning how to look at their own country with different eyes. The opposition, between the negative image of Greece and its reality is reflected by introducing the Greek word philotimo. The project was exhibited in CBK gallery in Hertogenbosch, Netherlands.

Poetry in public space. A visual essay about one from many of Rotterdam’s construction sites and a proposal for a typographic implementation of a poem in that site. The project aims to comment on the fact that in the city of Rotterdam there are so many construction sites that at the moment do not make the lifes of the inhabitants better (as the renderings on the fences surrounding this sites depict) but instead more difficult. In that sense the fence is a “fata morgana”. The implemented poem is exactly about that.
Free-dom without opportunity is a devil’s gift. Typography design of Noam Chomsky’s quote commenting that the market bargains of our times are not a form of freedom of choice. The reality “without opportunity is a devil’s gift” is hiding in the small letters the same way it does in print or TV adds. The color of the typography is florecesnt orange like the bargain signs found in markets. Dom, in Dutch means stupid.
Two posters submitted for the competition of posters for tomorrow about freedom of expression in 2009

Poster about freedom from orthodox religion, designed for the Graphic Design Association of Greece. The Greek orthodox church in my point of view is no longer spiritually oriented but commercially. Its power is based on myths, a power that sometimes was expressed with long hair and beards, like in the Samson and Delilah myth.
Poster, about the equality of social classes.
Poster for the 20th of June, the world’s refugee day, designed for the Graphic Design Association of Greece. The majority of refugees in Greece, come from countries in the middle east. Showing your feet in the middle east is an insult. The text in the image means: I step somewhere and I find myself somewhere else, in Greece this is a very famous idiom mostly used in a bad way.
